It’s easy to believe that God cares about the big things: life-changing diagnoses, job losses, major crossroads, etc. But what about the little moments? The quiet frustrations? The things that seem too small to mention in prayer?

The truth is, God doesn’t just care about your soul. He cares about your story.

In Matthew 10:29–31, Jesus says, “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care… So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” God sees the sparrow fall, and He sees you. Every detail. Every sigh. Every thought that you didn’t say out loud.

He’s not a distant Creator with bigger things to worry about. He’s a present Father who counts the hairs on your head. He’s the kind of God who showed up at a wedding to turn water into wine. Not a life-or-death situation, but it mattered to the people there, so it mattered to Him.

The “little things” often weigh on us more than we admit. A sleepless night. A missed opportunity. An awkward conversation replayed over and over in your mind. And when we carry those alone, they can grow heavier. But when we bring them to God, we invite Him into the spaces we usually try to handle ourselves.

He cares. Deeply. Not just about your future, but your feelings. Not just your calling, but your calendar. He’s there when you’re celebrating, when you’re stressing, and when you’re simply trying to get through the day.

Nothing is too small to bring to Him. If it matters to you, it matters to Him. So go ahead, pray about the schedule conflict, the minor irritation, and the silly worry. He’s not rolling His eyes. He’s listening.

And He’s near.
