Living by scriptural values is a way to ensure a world around us that is improving. Seeking truth is an inseparable part of our faith journey, and the Bible encourages us to be lifelong learners with Jesus as our ultimate guide. Psalm 32:8 reassures us, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” This verse reminds us that God is our teacher, guiding us to wisdom and understanding.
Jesus emphasized the importance of truth in John 8:32, when He said, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Knowing and embracing the truth found in Jesus frees us from sin and deception. It’s a powerful reminder that truth brings freedom.
Psalm 25:5 further highlights our dependence on God’s guidance, “Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” Our pursuit of truth is a continuous journey, and our hope remains in God’s unwavering truth.
God’s Word is a rich source of truth and wisdom. Romans 15:4 says, “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.” The Bible is our foundation for learning and growth.
Our world today doesn’t hold a biblical understanding of truth. There are many conflicting worldviews all around us, causing strife and division at every turn. The subjective truth the world teaches is in direct opposition to the objective truth of the Bible. We must be seekers of the one and only truth.
As followers of Jesus, we are called to be seekers of truth. Let’s diligently study the Scriptures, learn from Jesus, and apply His teachings in our daily lives. By doing so, we align ourselves with God’s truth and experience the fullness of life He intends for us.
